be softer with you.
you are a breathing thing.
a memory to someone.
a home to a life.
- Nayirrah Waheed
My psychotherapy practice largely centers on helping people strengthen their relationship with themselves and others. Together, we can help you identify and overcome patterns that no longer serve you. I have a thorough understanding of polyamory and ethical non-monogamy (ENM). I have a holistic approach, incorporating both somatic work (mind-body awareness) and talk therapy. I approach therapy from a place of collaboration and non-judgment. I practice with a trauma-informed, kink-positive, anti-oppressive lens.
Some of the specific topics that often come up in-session are:
Communication skills/assertiveness
Boundary setting
Self-compassion
Attachment styles
Nervous system regulation (navigating fight/fight/freeze responses)
Co-dependency
Perfectionism
How to navigate insecurity and jealousy
Psychotherapy
I use various modalities depending on the needs of my clients, including:
Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Mindfulness
Self-Compassion
Somatic Experiencing
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Exposure Therapy
I also offer Psychotherapy supervision for Occupational Therapists who are wanting to become Psychotherapists under the Occupational Therapy College.
